Lufthansa launches Tripfinder

Lufthansa's new online travel planner - powered by Amadeus' new leisure booking solution - provides the inspiration, utilizing diverse criteria to propose suitable leisure destinations which customers may have otherwise never considered.
“I’d like to take a beach vacation in Europe, but I’ve already been to the Greek islands.” “I’d love to tour the best museums in Europe - but where to start?” “Let’s plan a long weekend in Europe next month - but only on a tight budget.” Every traveler has his or her own ideas and individual wishes before booking a trip.
Lufthansa’s new online search tool, Tripfinder, contains answers to these and many other questions at lufthansa.com. Instead of looking for specific flight connections on a specific route, customers can search Tripfinder and collect ideas for a vacation that best suits their needs. The new online travel planner provides the inspiration, utilizing diverse criteria to propose suitable leisure destinations which customers may have otherwise never considered.
“With Lufthansa Tripfinder, even customers who are undecided about where to go will find the perfect vacation destination,” said Marcus Casey, Head of e-Commerce and Mobile Services at Lufthansa. “Whether it’s a beach holiday on a specific budget, or a long gourmet weekend in Europe, the Lufthansa travel planner offers entirely new options for planning a vacation.”
The new tool is customer-oriented and easy-to-use: Travelers start by entering their departure airport and a maximum ticket price. A subsequent interactive map shows the customer all the Lufthansa destinations available within the specified price. The customer can compare the proposals with one another, and narrow down their options by entering individual requirements, such as beach, golf, diving, gourmet, outdoor, historical sites, metropolis, museum or shopping. Once the perfect destination has been found, the customer can book directly. The offered search results come with a booking guarantee, so travelers are assured a successful start to their vacation.
