OpenJaw Technologies launched a major new product release of xHotel 2.0; a content, mapping and inventory management system for tour operators, airlines and distribution intermediaries.
OpenJaw Technologies, a leader in delivering high performance travel distribution solutions to the global travel industry, today announced a major new product release of xHotel 2.0; a content, mapping and inventory management system for tour operators, airlines and distribution intermediaries.
The new advanced features of xHotel 2.0, which have already been deployed to several customers, allow locally managed inventory allocations to be combined with direct connects to multiple suppliers for the same properties. This allows travel companies to optimise their accommodation sourcing and sales by providing access to multiple sources of rates and inventory for each property.
xHotel 2.0 supports enhanced multi-lingual content management allowing travel companies to differentiate their offerings by combining locally managed content with externally sourced content. In addition, xHotel 2.0 provides powerful mapping support with the ability to search for accommodation based on Geocode (longitude & latitude) information for properties within a radius of a point of interest such as an airport or an event.
Commenting on the announcement, John Lambe, CTO of OpenJaw Technologies said: We are pleased to announce this major product release of xHotel 2.0. Our vision for the industry is one where the standard business model involves optimising revenue through the right combination of locally held allocations and externally sourced inventory from multiple sources. As the hotel distribution model evolves, we see the growing requirement for flexibility to support different inventory models and rate types including: retail rates and discounted Best Available Rates direct from hotel chains; local allocations, and net or merchant rates from intermediaries. xHotel 2.0 has been designed from the ground up with our vision in mind and integrates with our other products to allow the Dynamic Packaging of accommodation with transport and events or destination activities.
xHotel 2.0 resides within OpenJaw Technologies solution portfolio and utilises the xDistributor Integration Platform and Business Rules Engine that enables travel supplier integration, distribution channel management and Dynamic Packaging.
