Expedia's Spain Web site, Expedia.es marks the company's first Spanish-language Expedia-branded site, and its ninth Expedia point of sale in Europe, bringing the international total to 13.
Expedia, Inc. announced the launch of its Spain Web site, Expedia.es (http://expedia.es/), a full-service travel booking site designed specifically to meet the needs of Spanish travelers. It marks the company’s first Spanish-language Expedia-branded site, and its ninth Expedia point of sale in Europe, bringing the international total to 13.
“Spain is the fourth largest online travel market in Europe, and we’re excited to bring Spanish travellers the best selection of travel options, catered to their needs and to their budgets,” said Mikael Andersson, general manager, Expedia.es. “Using Expedia.es, travellers can plan and book a trip—including their flight, hotel, rental car and destination activities—with just a few clicks.”
The new site offers Spanish travellers a selection of more than 70,000 hotels; flights all around the world; more than 3,000 leisure activities in innumerable destinations; and several major rental car companies with presence in more than 5,000 locations. As the online travel pioneer, Expedia’s technology delivers Spanish travellers new and useful tools, such as 360-degree virtual hotel tours, which allow users to see hotel rooms before booking. In addition, Expedia delivers trip ideas and inspiration, such as a package to follow Fernando Alonso in his Formula 1 competitions around the world.
With more than 50 million visitors each month(1) to its international Web sites, and hundreds of staff throughout the world dedicated to working with hotel partners in local markets, Expedia is the global leader in online travel. Expedia.es brings to Spain an unmatched selection of travel offerings, innovative booking tools, and a great value. In addition to offering a superior online experience, Expedia.es provides access to professional travel advisors who can assist travellers in booking their trip by phone.
