Espotting PPC ads on lastminute.com

December 10, 2003 |

UK-based lastminute.com will incorporate Espotting's PPC ad listings on the exit pages of its channels "hotels", "flights", "holidays" and "flights+hotels".

Europe’s Overture competitor Espotting Media and lastminute.com entered a pan-European agreement covering four territories - the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy.

The deal will see lastminute.com incorporating Espotting’s listings on the exit pages of four of its channels - ‘hotels, ‘flights’, ‘holidays’ and ‘flight+hotel’ dynamic packaging functionality - and is already live on the UK hotels pages.

A lastminute.com branded pop-under page will be served to users leaving the hotels channel of the site without purchasing, and will display Espotting’s top 5 keyword specific listings to the corresponding channel. For example, the channel ‘hotels’ will feature ‘hotels’ and ‘cheap hotels’.

Espotting’s dedicated Content Editors have worked with lastminute.com to select the relevant keywords. Espotting’s Content Monetisation solution is humanly edited, rather than automated, in order to guarantee the relevancy of listings for users.

“Our relationship with Espotting enables us to provide customers with an easy way of checking that the deals they are getting from us are the best in the market. We think it’s an innovative use of the service Espotting provides” commented Vijay Solanki, UK Marketing Director lastminute.com.

“Our partnership with lastminute.com reflects the diversity and lateral implementations in how we work with our partners” commented Sebastian Bishop, Co-founder, Espotting Media. ‘We are delighted to be working together to better serve customers’ needs.’
