GetThere launches booking solution for lawyers

GetThere and The Lawyers' Travel Service introduce an online travel booking solution designed exclusively for for the legal industry.
GetThere announced an agreement with The Lawyers’ Travel Service to provide an online booking solution specifically designed for the legal industry.
The Lawyers’ Travel Service, which manages $300 million in travel per year for an estimated 200,000 lawyers in the United States, is now offering law firms LawyersTravelOnline, which is the next generation of GetThere DirectMidMarket technology, featuring an enhanced user-interface and booking process. This booking solution is a customized version of GetThere technology, designed specifically to meet the needs of law firms and their traveling attorneys.

Using the GetThere DirectMidMarket technology, The Lawyers’ Travel Service can design and customize individual sites that reflect each client firm’s corporate image, policies and discounts. LawyersTravelOnline is the only online travel reservation solution with features designed to benefit the traveling attorney, such as automated capture of client/matter numbers to facilitate client billing. Other features include:
- LawFare, a proprietary airline discount program with savings up to 25% offered exclusively by LawyersTravelOnline
- Hotel discounts up to 47% off published rates negotiated at deluxe properties throughout the world that are preferred by attorneys
- Web fares up to 70% off regularly published fares
- Firm-specific travel policies and negotiated contracts that can be loaded to enhance compliance
- Meeting planning tools through GetThere DirectMeetings technology, which allows meeting site selection, automated attendee management and group travel booking from one integrated location
- Access to Integrated display and management of published and special Web-only options through GetThere Web Connect - to view and book published, negotiated rates and special fares from a variety of sources (GDSs, airline Web sites, rail, no-frill carriers)
- Access to airfares from all major carriers, including discount carriers, such as Southwest and JetBlue, not offered on some of the popular leisure sites
- Travel alerts and itinerary information including flight status, schedules, gate and baggage carousel information that is available directly from Web phones, PDAs, and Blackberry devices
