hotel.de leading hotel portal in Germany

New statistics from Nielsen/Netratings suggest that hotel.de is the leading online hotel reservation services measured in monthly user reach in Germany.

According to the current August issue of the Netratings Online Survey, the world’s leading market research institution Nielsen announces http://www.hotel.de to be first amongst online hotel reservation services measured in monthly user reach within Germany.

hotel.de is in the lead with 718.000 unique visitors in the month of August. The referenced Nielsen report is the so-called @home+@work-panel that measures the usage of the internet at home and from the office.

hotel.de AG chairman Dr. Heinz Raufer: “This first place is the result of hard work during the recent months particularly with view to the acquisition of frequently booking corporations such as SAP, Siemens, Allianz, Electrolux or Texas Instruments on the one hand. Additionally more than 100.000 small- and medium-sized companies with its many corporate travelers along with hotel.de’s current 650.000 registered private users significantly contribute to this market success.”

The ranking of the top travel sites for consumers in August 2005 is as follows:
