Marriott.com sets one-day booking record

After a 45 percent increase in revenue for the first quarter, Marriott.com now set a one-day booking record with more than $7 million in reservations on April 26.

Marriott.com set a one-day booking record with more than $7 million in reservations at its more than 2,700 hotels on Monday, April 26.

The record follows the company’s announcement that for the first quarter of 2004 (Jan. 1 - March 31) room revenue on Marriott.com increased 45 percent from the previous year.

In addition to these achievements, the Spring 2004 Online Customer Respect Study gives Marriott.com top honors as the best hotel Web site. The Customer Respect Group conducted the study that measured company websites from the online customer’s perspective and experience. The attributes measured included privacy, open and honest policies, respecting customer data, ease of use and responsiveness to inquiries. This is the second time Marriott.com received the first place honors Customer Respect Group.
