Comparison shopping service NexTag announced its global expansion with the launch of NexTag UK Travel Meta Search for hotels.
Comparison shopping service NexTag, Inc. announced its global expansion of comparison shopping for travel with its launch of NexTag UK Travel Meta Search for hotels.
NexTag UK’s Travel Meta Search provides travelers the ability to quickly search and compare room rates across a number of participating hotels and online travel agencies, including some of today’s leading online travel brands in the UK. Using NexTag’s Search And Match (SAM) proprietary technology, NexTag UK’s unique display provides real-time availability of room rates for a specific property from multiple merchants. In an easy side-by-side comparison, travelers can readily find the best price for specific hotels based on their destination, room preferences and arrival and departure dates.
In June NexTag launched the NexTag UK Web site, offering primarily comparison shopping for consumer electronics. It has since added categories including clothing, home & garden, CDs & DVDs, and now comparison shopping for hotels. Since its launch, NexTag UK has already reached 855,000 unique monthly visitors.
“NexTag UK Travel Meta Search is designed to help online shoppers save time and money finding the best deals on hotel rooms,” said Purnendu Ojha, President and CEO of NexTag. “The launch of the UK travel category addresses the increasing need for comparison shopping for not only products, but also for popular services including travel.”
“We are excited to be a key hotel content provider for NexTag UK Travel,” said Chloe Lim, Director of Sales and Marketing, HotelClub.com. “We see NexTag UK as an important marketing channel to drive highly qualified traffic to our website and generate sales from UK customers.”
