OctopusTravel.com signs L’TUR

Gullivers' OctopusTravel.com has signed a deal with Germany based travel agent L’TUR, a European leader in last minute trips.
The deal with Baden-Baden based travel agent L’TUR, which is a European leader in last minute trips, will see OctopusTravel.com’s offer on accommodation, sightseeing and other travel products featured on the L’TUR.de and FlyLoco.de web sites.
On the FlyLoco.de site, it will be possible to create dynamic packages comprising accommodation, transport and sightseeing. In addition, the full OctopusTravel.com product range will be available through L’TUR’s 140 retail agencies in Austria, France, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Switzerland.
L’TUR is co-owned by Thomas Cook, Europe’s largest tour operator, TUI, and Karl Heinz Kögel. In 2003 it had sales of €339m and it handled over ¾ million customers.
Stefan Dapper, Member of the L’TUR Board, said: “The partnership between FlyLoco.de and OctopusTravel.com, one of the biggest providers of accommodation and sightseeing in the world, will dramatically widen our hotel portfolio and will allow our customers to enjoy a wide of variety of hotels and apartments in European and overseas destinations, while combining their own travel package.�
