September 30, 2008 |

The site is targeted at travelers throughout Spanish-speaking Latin America with a focus on consumers in Chile, Columbia and Peru. Travelocity provides live Spanish-speaking agents to assist customers during their travel or when they are making a reservation.

Travelocity launched a Spanish-language site designed to give travelers in Latin America a secure way to make travel reservations any day at any time through a trusted brand. The site is targeted at travelers throughout Spanish-speaking Latin America with a focus on consumers in Chile, Columbia and Peru. The new site offers a wide range of options including 70,000 hotels, in addition to flights, car rentals and more, for destinations worldwide.

?Latin America is a region with great e-commerce potential,? said Bryan Estep, vice president of Travelocity Latin America. ?This site gives consumers in multiple countries the convenience and value of online travel. It also offers a great opportunity for our partners to reach out to consumers in this marketplace.?

For Travelocity, the new site represents continued global expansion of its marketing efforts, including further expansion into Latin America. Last year, Travelocity launched a site for consumers in Mexico, and in April of this year, the company launched a site specifically for consumers in Argentina. The company already has a major presence in Europe through lastminute.com and Asia Pacific through ZUJI.

Travelocity provides live Spanish-speaking agents to assist customers during their travel or when they are making a reservation. Customer care agents are available 24X7.
