TripHub.com closes doors

TripHub Chief Executive Josh Herst - a former Microsoft and Expedia employee - informed customers that the company had to close a few days ago because revenue did not meet projections.

Seattle-based Triphub.com, an online startup focused on group travel arrangements, has shut down its service as of Friday, the firm said.

Triphub blamed the current economic environment and state of the travel industry for the shutdown, saying that the company “simply ran out of money to continue executing on our vision.”
