Worldspan and BA sign new contract

Worldspan agency retailers in the UK may choose to participate in a new program that will give them access to all BA fares, including web-fares.

Travel technology provider Worldspan announced that a new three-year contract has been signed with British Airways (BA), in which all Worldspan agency retailers in
the UK may choose to participate in an innovative new program that will give them access to all BA fares, including fares available through ba.com. The new contract is effective from 1st March 2004.

Mike Parks, senior vice president and general manager – Worldwide Travel Distribution for Worldspan, said:

“Worldspan is pleased that this important new contract with BA has been signed. Developing a solution that creates value for all participants – the airline, agents and Worldspan – has been our main goal, and we’ve achieved it. The agreement underscores Worldspan’s commitment to our customers and our ongoing efforts to create innovative solutions to ensure they stay competitive. Worldspan agents who choose to participate in this programme will be able to search and book the full BA inventory.’’
