Amadeus announced the appointment of Annette Hogan to Managing Director of the company's newly formed Hospitality Business Group in North America.

Hogan is responsible for the management, marketing and sales of Amadeus' comprehensive distribution and advanced IT solutions, products and services tailored to the specialized needs of hoteliers and other hospitality providers. She will be based at Amadeus' North American headquarters in Miami.

Hogan's appointment is part of a global effort to strengthen Amadeus' commitment to the hospitality industry - the company now has more than 400 employees dedicated to providing hospitality technology solutions around the world. Hogan brings to Amadeus nearly 25 years of experience working in various capacities in the hospitality and travel industry and a hands-on approach to helping hoteliers achieve high levels of success.

"We are extremely pleased to have Annette leading Amadeus' efforts to provide North American hoteliers with better visibility into and control over their inventory and proven solutions to grow revenues and improve customer service," said Kay Urban, president and CEO of Amadeus North America. "Annette's previous management experience at Amadeus, as well as with other leading hospitality and travel companies, gives our Hospitality Business Group the expert leadership necessary for success."

Urban added that the appointment comes at a time when the North American hospitality industry is experiencing steady growth. PKF Hospitality Research recently reported that U.S. hotels are forecast to enjoy a fourth consecutive year of profit growth in 2007.

Hogan previously served as Director of Leisure Development for Amadeus North America where she was responsible for enhancing and optimizing leisure business models and activities for select business units. Prior to Amadeus, she was with Delaware North Companies, Parks & Resorts where she was Director of Sales and Marketing for a portfolio of some 20 properties with more than $300 million in revenue including Yosemite National Park, Kennedy Space Center, and resorts privately owned by Delaware North. Prior to that, Hogan was founder and principal of her own Miami-based consulting firm focusing on global supplier and multi-channel distribution sales and marketing strategies.

Amadeus now provides a full suite of IT solutions to hoteliers to optimize their various revenue streams, distribute inventory and better manage the guest experience. Amadeus Hotel Revenue Management System boosts revenues by up to eight percent; Amadeus' distribution solutions can take a hotel's available rooms to the door of travel agents in 75,000 locations around the world and Amadeus Property Management Solutions offer unparalleled ability to manage the guest experience from check-in to check-out.

For travel agencies, Amadeus offers access to more than 68,000 independent and chain hotel properties - many of which have signed up for Amadeus Best Available Rate program, guaranteeing Amadeus agents the best prices on hotel rooms. Independent research by Hermes Management Consultants has established that agents can book hotels 25 percent faster using Amadeus than competing distribution options.
