The first half of this year saw a range of meetings, along with new partnerships and new hotel clients. Richard Oliver and Olga Hadjiloizou, Availpro sales representatives for the United Kingdom, explain the initial results achieved and provide an insight into what is to come in the second half of the year. Availpro focuses on meetings with British hotel owners Availpro first entered the UK market at the Hostec trade show in Birmingham, where the company had a stand from 24th to 26th January 2011. This was a particularly successful event for Availpro, holding meetings with more than 50 hotels and hotel chains, along with other partners including web agencies, distributors and PMSs. This initial event was followed by a number of conferences in London and face-to-face meetings organised by Availpro sales representatives throughout the UK. At the Hotelwebsite Marketing Conference in June, Availpro presented its vision of a new form of online distribution and the tools available to hotel owners. The publisher shared the stage with Trip Advisor, TIG Global and Review Pro. These events helped to strengthen awareness of the Availpro brand and its solutions in the UK. More recently, in July this year, Availpro held a conference in London entitled “How can your hotel benefit from 750 million Facebook users?”. This free seminar event was attended by 35 hotels and journalists, with speakers from Availpro and Ignite Hospitality Consultants. Following these events, a number of hotels have already signed up to use the Availpro solution, including Florence House Hotel: “Availpro has saved me considerable time in uploading and altering rates across all our agents. With Availpro, hotels are able to “go live” on a wide range of agents including Agoda, HRS and Without Availpro’s easy-to-use solution, we would not have been able to achieve this,” explains Ellie Hogston, the hotel’s owner. Availpro signals a new direction in online hospitality distribution in the UK While touring the UK, Availpro has been promoting and demonstrating the new features and functions that it will bring to the UK market, including its Facebook and mobile booking engines, customer satisfaction tracker and booking tracker. The second half of the year will see further new launches and partnership announcements. Richard Oliver, Availpro’s key account manager for the UK, returned with positive feedback from Availpro’s UK road show: “The first half of this year saw many promising encounters with hotel owners and partners. There was strong interest in our solutions and we were able to exchange ideas and practices with the people we met. Our company’s extensive portfolio of products and services really sets up apart from the competition, helping us to gain a substantial number of new hotel users.” Availpro will keep up this momentum in the second half of the year. On 21st September, Availpro will be speaking at the HSMAI Revenue Management seminar in Dublin. This will be followed the next morning, on 22nd September, with a free conference in London, organised and led by Availpro, on the subject of E-reputation and social media.
