Carlson Wagonlit Travel president and CEO Kurt Ekert talked with BTN about the competitive landscape and the digital innovations his mega travel management company is working on for customers. BTN: How's business? Ekert: We're filling the equivalent of 260 Boeing 787s and 100,000 hotel rooms each day, and we handle 105 to 110 corporate events. We are seeing very healthy transaction growth of 3.5 percent or so. We are seeing revenue growth in our RoomIt hotel distribution business in the mid-teens. We're now up to 1.1 million users of our mobile app, CWT To Go, so we're really beginning to see our strategy take hold. This year, we have already sold over $1 billion of new business.
