In a statement posted on Trover’s blog, CEO Jason Karas said: “Expedia’s mission is to revolutionize travel through technology, and they believe Trover’s beautiful content and social experience is a great fit with this mission. In 2013, Trover raised $2.5 million in funding in an effort led by fellow travel company Concur’s Perfect Trip Fund.
