Expedia.com was recognized for excellence as a pioneer and innovator in online travel. The company received a Webby Award for Best in Travel Web Sites for 2006, the leading international honor for Internet sites.

The Webby Awards are determined by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences and represent the very best that the Internet has to offer. The Tenth Annual Webby Awards received a record number of entries from over 40 countries and all 50 states. Winners will be honored at The Tenth Annual Webby Awards in New York City on June 12th.
