Google has partnered with research agency TNS to use Google search queries and interviews with consumers in the UK, US, Germany, Israel, UAE and Portugal. The focus of the study was to illustrate the usage of mobile in research, bookings and other “moments” in the travel journey. Here are some of the key findings: - While 89% of consumers research products online, 56% do so via mobile devices; - Of the 80% that book flights online, only 9% do so via smartphones; - 13% of those that research on mobile devices make their booking offline.
