“The timing was right as we are at the crossroads of becoming a much larger organization as demand for our product and services has skyrocketed,” Getaroom President Bob Diener said in an email to the Dallas Business Journal. Getaroom CEO David Litman and Diener previously started Hotel Reservations Network, which eventually became Hotels.com. They founded Getaroom in 2009 as another site for travelers to book hotel rooms. Its business model evolved, however, to handle call center duties for other travel sites.
