Hotels are always trying to create memorable experiences that cause us to go home and tell all of our friends how great the stay was or even take to social media and get some free advertising. We've heard about the intimate relationship between smell and memory, so it makes sense to incorporate pleasant smells to jog the memory taking you back to how fantastic your time was at Hotel X. Le Sirenuse: The fragrance for this Positano hotel (pictured above) is appropriately called, Eau d’Italie is used in the lobby and the fitness center as well as the in-room toiletries. Slightly reminiscent of the area in summer, it has notes of bergamot, blackcurrant, lichen, cedar and musk. You can take some home from the hotel gift shop or, if you forget, directly from their website. Crosby Street Hotel: Paying homage to its lush green roof and courtyard garden, the Soho hotel's Le Jardin 10012 carries notes of bergamot, rosemary and thyme with cardamom, iris, rose and lavender. You can either get your fill of the the lobby candles and in-room amenities or just pick up a candle for home in the gift shop. Get the full story at HotelChatter
