The Cendant Corp. spinoff, which is one of the world's biggest hotel franchisers, said earnings increased 1 percent to $92 million, or 48 cents a share, as sales gained 13 percent to $970 million in the fourth quarter. That compares with profit of $91 million, or 45 cents a share, on sales of $861 million a year earlier.

Earnings for 2005 do not include expenses related to Wyndham being owned by Cendant until last August. Excluding those figures, income at Parsippany-based Wyndham was up 11 percent to $84 million, or 44 cents a share. That is 4 cents above Wall Street estimates.

"We finished the year with great momentum in each of our three businesses, said Stephen Holmes, Wyndham's chairman and chief executive.
