According to local media, the Fair Trade commission (FTC) is considering ordering the global online travel agency to revise its unfair customer refund policy. After examining provisions and clauses of four foreign online travel agencies _ Agoda, Booking.com, Hotels.com and Expedia last November, the FTC recommended that they revise their cancellation and refund policies. According to the FTC, these online hotel reservation services banned customers from changing reservations or claiming refunds when they sought to do so despite the fact that they don't sustain any loss when a cancellation is made early enough. The online service providers claimed that they set such provisions globally and that the consumers were aware of the no refund policy when they made a reservation.
