Nirvana Technology's BookNow! real-time online booking tool has been chosen by Omni Hotels.

BookNow! is a web based ASP solution that can be made available to guests, staff, central reservation department and distribution partners.

David Jackson, IT Manager for Omni Hotels, said that company was impressed with the ASP aspect of Nirvana's services solution. “We are able to deploy the system quite rapidly with minimal upfront expense, and that's an equation our hotels definitely appreciate,” said Jackson.

According to Nirvana, the capability will also handle online sales for the spa retail shop. “Blue Square Studios will create an advanced, stylized site for the Spa that Nirvana Technology will tie into the Omni reservations system at a high level. The Nirvana BookNow! tool will be integrated with the hotel's PMS to allow for the bi-directional flow of information between room reservations and Spa appointment bookings. Both guests and hotel Operations will experience a seamless flow of information that keeps any changes in bookings current, end to end,” says an official release.

Brian Cunningham, president and chief executive officer, Nirvana termed the tie-up as the first to offer an automated online spa service booking program and said the company is to work Omni Hotels to integrate the BookNow! online booking tool in all of their properties with spa.

Recently, global spa resource Spa Finder, Inc. tied up with Nirvana Technology to create the first automated online spa service booking programme, at Spafinder.com spa consumer site.

Integrating Spa Finder’s spa property information and research tools and Nirvana’s BookNow! real-time online booking tool, the new Spa Services Reservation programme enables online spa consumers to locate day or stay spas by zip code or spa type, review a real-time menu of available spa services and rates and then make an instant, confirmed appointment for the spa experience they desire, according to Nirvana.

Using the new technology, spa goers can even schedule their therapist of choice for a specific treatment.

“Our partnership with Spa Finder now enables consumers – or even hotel concierges, as a value-add for guests – to research and book spa services in a convenient, information-rich and secure online environment,” said Cunningham.
