Worldspan announced the completion of a long-term travel distribution and technology agreement with OneTravel Holdings, Inc. Through the new agreement, Worldspan will provide all subsidiaries of OneTravel Holdings with advanced travel transaction processing services and global travel content available through the Worldspan global distribution system (GDS).

OneTravel Holdings, Inc. is the diversified travel and leisure company that currently owns two travel business subsidiaries, including OneTravel, Inc. and Farequest Holdings, Inc., which operate onetravel.com; cheapseats.com; discounthotels.com; and 11thhour.com.

"Worldspan is pleased to be the primary technology provider and GDS partner for OneTravel Holdings, one of the United States' fastest-growing travel companies. We will support their known and trusted brands by increasing their merchandizing capabilities and sales with industry-leading solutions, and expanding their range of travel content through the Worldspan GDS," said Jay Rein, Worldspan vice president of e-Commerce.

"With the tremendous growth we have experienced in our business, we need to solidify partnerships, especially in the technology area. We have had a good relationship with Worldspan for a long time and we are happy to see that they are committed to providing us with their services into the future. We continue to look for ways to better service our customers and this agreement is another step toward that goal," said William A. Goldstein, chairman and chief executive officer of OneTravel Holdings.

Travel distribution and transaction processing capabilities are already enabled by OneTravel Holdings' interface to the Worldspan system through Worldspan XML Pro technology. XML Pro is an advanced data exchange solution that allows travel companies to create fully functional travel applications using XML technology. OneTravel Holdings has deployed Worldspan e-Pricing system wide, providing its travel businesses and online customers with the travel industry's most highly developed fare shopping technology. Published and private fares from airlines worldwide are provided through Worldspan. Additionally, OneTravel Holdings employs Worldspan SecuRate(R) Air Plus, a leader in Web-based negotiated fares management technology.

Nearly two out of every three flights purchased through travel Web sites today are shopped, booked and ticketed through the Worldspan GDS, making Worldspan the largest transaction processor for online travel agencies worldwide. The Worldspan GDS distributes the products and services of 800 of the world's travel suppliers to points of sale on nearly every continent. These include approximately 11,000 travel agency locations and 65 travel Web sites, including the majority of the world's largest.

OneTravel Holdings, Inc. derives all of its revenues from its travel business subsidiaries, Farequest Holdings, Inc., operating under the name 1-800-CHEAPSEATS and OneTravel, Inc., both of which are online and offline providers of a full range of travel services. The company derives additional revenue from operating other travel-related Web sites.
