Online Christmas sales continued their strong early growth, with total online sales for the week ending Nov. 6 growing 31%, reaching $1.81 billion from $1.38 billion in the corresponding week a year ago, comScore Networks Inc. reports. Online sales the prior week were up 39% from the same week a year earlier.

By comparison, total retail sales for the week ending Oct. 29 were down 0.9% from the same week a year ago, reports ShopperTrak’s National Retail Sales Estimate.

Online travel sales for the week ending Nov. 6 were up 18% to $1.05 billion from $896 million in the corresponding week a year ago, comScore reports.
