The new site will help make the traveling process easier for guests. Affluent consumers increasingly turn to their phones when executing luxury transactions and working with a user-friendly site enhances the hotel experience. “The Regent Web site has now been adapted to responsive design to enable an excellent user experience on a smartphone, optimized for both Apple and Android users,” said Peter Matthews, founder/CEO of Nucleus, London. “This means a smartphone user can easily select a hotel and book online while they are on the move, but telephone numbers are hotlinked, so if you want to call rather than book online, its one finger-friendly click,” he said. “In our own six-monthly survey we saw mobile traffic to travel Web sites grow by a third in the second half of 2012 to over 27 percent of all traffic.” Nucleus worked with Rengent Hotels to create the mobile site.
