S-based online travel company Travelocity is looking at growth opportunities in India through inorganic route.

Scott Blume, chief executive officer, Zuji, an associate company of Travelocity that takes care of the Indian operations, said, "Along with organic expansion plans, we are also open for acquisitions in India. Our targets could be potential travel portals or systems that would fuel our operations."

"In India, the online travel trade is about 2 per cent today, but has the potential to reach 30 per cent in five years," said Blume. Travelocity had announced the launch of its India-specific travel portal --travelocity.co.in, in the city today.

The portal will become operational during the last quarter of 2006 and will be managed and supported by its Singapore-based associate portal Zuji.
