Some 29% of car expenses in the first quarter of 2015 were for the car service Uber versus 9% a year ago, according to a survey of 7.5 million online expenses by Certify, an online travel and expense-management company. Taxis accounted for 35% of those expenses in the first quarter, down from 52% for the year-earlier period, and rental cars accounted for 36%, down from 39% a year earlier. Uber is generally cheaper: $31.24 per ride via Uber in the first quarter of 2015, compared with $35.40 for taxis. Get the full story at MarketWatch
