After Yahoo! Briefcase now it is turn for another service to rest in peace. Yes, finally Yahoo! is shutting down its travel comparison service -- called FareChase. An alert on Yahoo!'s FareChase web site says "FareChase will no longer be available after March 25th," and asks users to instead use Yahoo! Travel.

FareChase is an online travel search engine that helps travellers scour the web for the best flights that meet their budget and travel schedule. Yahoo! acquired FareChase, a travel bargain website, in 2004.

As of yesterday, visitors to FareChase are redirected to its primary travel site, travel.yahoo.com. The move is likely a part of new Yahoo! CEO Carol Bartz's effort to streamline the company and shed under-performing assets.
