Online travel startup Yapta has raised $2.3 million in a first round of venture funding, with the money pouring in from First Round Capital, Voyager Capital, Swiftsure Capital and Bay Partners.

The Seattle startup, which launched service in late May, has developed a way for people to track airfares from multiple travel providers and collect refunds from airlines if ticket prices drop below the original purchase price.

To date, Yapta has raised $3 million. It employs 10 people and is led by Tom Romary, a former vice president of marketing at Alaska Airlines and RealNetworks.
